Playstick Games is part of a Hyderabad-based game developing company called BornMonkie. We at BornMonkie believe in making your gaming experience as convenient and fun as possible, and so we’ve developed PlayStick — our newest addition to the BornMonkie family!
Let’s dive right into it!
PlayStick’s concept is to basically, in simple words, connect your mobile phone to your gaming screen. In an age where everything seems to be pocket friendly, we figured it best to make even your gaming controls easy to reach. All you have to do is dip into your pocket and you’ll find a universal controller there!
Now I know you’re probably thinking, “But why would I want to use my phone as a controller? Touchscreen gamepads suck!”, because that happens to be a universally critical view. I’m not sure the people who say this have tried out PlayStick yet. A lot of people see touchscreen controls as subpar, but it’s also helpful to remember to make sure your touchscreen controller feels good and is optimized to your needs! And that’s where PlayStick comes in, with its easy-to-use and comfortable controls!
How to Login to Playstick Games

A code will be displayed on-screen. Open up playstick.games on your smartphone and type in your name and the displayed code to get started. You can even have multiple players using Playstick at once! For an individual game, an individual code will be displayed. Since Playstick is all about convenient connectivity, there’s no wire extension required! You can sit anywhere you can see the screen and access the game through your pocket-friendly controller! It’s so much simpler than having to adjust your controller and it’s wires constantly.

When making a touchscreen controller/gamepad, the idea of controls is very obviously the first thing to be taken into consideration. We at Playstick Games believe that you need to optimize your gaming experience. Say we’ve got a cool mechanic in mind, but it requires a D-pad or a joystick to control it, then it’s quite evident that it’s probably not the best fit. And so, we must choose our battles and games wisely, much like life.
The image above shows the controls that you’ll see on your smartphone and other smart devices (yes, you can use plastic on other devices too!). Using these controls, you can play your game. It’s just like a normal controller! You can rotate and move the player around with the “joystick” on your screen. The rest of the controls depend on the game you’re playing. Like I said earlier, optimization is key. And fear not, dear gamers, because there is no dreaded Lag or any other annoying disturbances when it comes to the controls. Playstick provides you with smooth and fun functioning!
Using Playstick, we’ve developed a game called “Zombie Minion Shoot”

If you’re part of the 99% of the entire world that hates minions, this game is perfect for you. You can team up with your friends (four player multiplayer) and shoot away those annoying characters in zombie form! You can use your Playstick controller to rotate the turret in any direction, and use the buttons to shoot those pesky creatures walking towards you.

Like most zombie shooting games, the minions attack in waves. There are three waves of them, and as the number of waves increases, the minions also increase in size and number. Whoever shoots the highest number of zombies wins the game!

Another fun game we’ve developed for Playstick Games is Air Cricket! Just like Zombie Minion Shoot, the controls are very simple and it’s a great game to play with friends or even on your own! Play as a batsman and watch which direction the bowler throws the ball. Press the B Button to hit the ball when it comes to your right side, and press the X Button to hit it when it comes to your left. Try and hit as many balls in a row as you can, and whoever hits the most balls consecutively, wins! Simple and fun to play, just what PlayStick aims for.

By using Playstick controls, there’s a vast variety of games you can play, and since all the games are multiplayer supportable, you can kick back and enjoy some game time with your friends too! Each game has around 5 minutes of gameplay, so when you’re waiting for your main game to load, you can play these in intervals! It’s like having a mini-arcade that fits right into your pocket!
